Daily Connections Soup Recipe Winners Announced
March 17, 2008

SOMERSET, NJ. -- Ebru TV recently announced the winners of its Daily Connections Soup Recipe Contest.

The television talk show Daily Connections celebrated the launching of its annual recipe contest by reaching out to its viewers to find the top soup recipes in the country.  Viewers were asked to send in original and inventive recipes, which were judged by the Daily Connections' chefs.  5 winners were selected based upon taste, originality, appearance and ease of preparation.

On March 17th, the winners were announced on the program.  Judy Armstrong from Prairieville, Louisiana was the Grand Prize Winner.  She received $250 in prizes.  Judy, who is an elementary school principal, said her recipe was inspired by her mother-in-law.  Armstrong explained that her mother-in-law served a favorite brie soup dish, but the recipe was lost.  Judy, who gardens, decided to use many of the herbs available in her own backyard, along with her favorite cheese, camembert, to make a similar recipe.

The Grand Prize winning recipe will be made by Daily Connections Chef, Amanda Nahas Christodoulou, on the March 24th broadcast.  A list of winners, which include one grand prize winner and four runner ups is below.  A link to each recipe is also included.
