Super Simple Pistachio-Orange Trifle

Serves 10

Ingredients:
1 loaf pound cake
2-3 cups mandarin orange segment, well-drained
2 (4 oz) boxes instant pistachio pudding mix, prepared
1/4 cup crushed hard lemon or orange candies
2 cups whipped topping
1/4 cup chopped pistachios


Directions:
Slice the pound cake into 1-inch squares, and arrange half in the bottom of a clear glass trifle dish.

Reserve 12 orange segments and top the cake with half of the remaining fruit. Gently spread half the pudding over the oranges and sprinkle with 1/2 the candy. Repeat with another layer of cake, fruit, pudding and candy.

Spread or pipe the whipped topping over the trifle and garnish with the reserved orange segments and chopped pistachios. Let set in the refrigerator for at least one hour, before serving (can be prepared one day ahead and kept refrigerated.)
